Professor Paul T. Anastas serves as the Director for the Center for Green Chemistry and Green Engineering at Yale University.
In addition to his academic research at Yale on the topics of synthesis, catalysis, and molecular design, he has launched several chemical manufacturing companies.

Professor Anastas has served three U.S. Presidents and was appointed by President Obama as the Assistant Administrator for Research and Development at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and served as its chief scientist from 2009 to 2012.

Dr. Anastas has been recognized with the Heinz Medal, the Wöhler Prize from the German Chemical Society, The Emmanual Merck Award, and the Royal Society of Chemistry’s Green Chemistry Award for 2016.
He also has published 15 books on sustainability and science.
