Fortunato Sevilla III is a professor of Chemistry at the University of Santo Tomas.
He obtained his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degree in Instrumentation and Analytical Science from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology in the United Kingdom.
He has been actively involved in research work on chemical sensors and biosensors, employing involving optical fiber chemical, piezoelectric quartz crystals, field effect transistors and chemiresistors as transducers.
He also developed low-cost chemical instrumentation for chemical education, health monitoring and environmental measurement.
